Fireworks II by CowtownHero Fireworks II by CowtownHero
Another original title by Rob. Again this is another HDR image, this time only 6 different exposures though still from only 1 RAW image file. 8 seconds exposure at F/16 if memory serves me correctly. As well as HDR post processing included slight noise and sharpening work as well as rotation and cropping.

If you like this you are likely to enjoy:

I will upload more fireworks images, HDR and normal in the coming days.

As always comments, favs, watches, criticism etc are welcome, so don't hold back.

I'll repeat my recommendation about going out and photographing fireworks:
I would advise anyone who has the opportunity to go out and photograph fireworks. With proper preparations, some patience you can get very pleasing images with effort. The actual shooting process can be very intense if you are recomposing on a tripod, but the results for are generally worth it. Ar least they were for me.
The reflection makes the picture for me. Otherwise it would be just another fireworks shot.

Indeed. I used to help out with a firework company but that was before I got into photography more seriously so I don't really have any amazing shots.

Fireworks can be in many colours, but seeing all shades of the one colour is even more effective. The border looks OK, but it seems to be too dominant. Maybe it should be thinner

I'll work on that; I agree its too thick. What do you think of the pink for it? Should I change it to something else (Suggestion?)

The inner pink border will need to be finer, I often see bordered photo's with a thin inner border of one colour and the outer a bit thicker. The magenta colour of the outer border would look good if it were darker ( like a Maroon or Burgundy ) this way, you still have a matching border, but it dosn't dominate the beauty of the photo.

This was my favorite of the series. Personally i would have liked it better without the colorful border just because there's already SO much color in the photo. Other then that GREAT capture, love how vivid the colors are, and nice contrast.

`:), that seems to be a very common consensus. I personally disagree entirely and think its the worst. But maybe thats because I made it and can see some of the flaws.

This is BEAUTIFUL. <3

I think the other one is just as pretty too. I've always wanted to get a picture of fireworks like this, but never really got the chance? Nor do I think my camera has enough quality.

What type of camera do you have? I think almost any camera has the capabilities to take pics of fireworks, if you are patient and know your machine well. If you want help learning how I may be able to provide you with some. Send me a note if you want some.
